About Us

Who are we, and what do we do?

Well, first off welcome to The Solar Sanctuary! This page will tell you a little about precisely who we are and what we do.

We are simply (at the moment) three young unpublished amateur authors trying to get good stories written and possibly published. Neither of us are the world's greatest writers, nor can we boast (or likely ever will) being worldwide best sellers. However, being a writer is like a journey. The more you do it the more you learn, and the more you overcome. Your characters become more deep, the plotlines more intricate and interesting, your description fitting, not over the top and not too little. And we're here to share our views and what we learn over the course of our writing journeys. We can give tips based on what we learn and highlight mistakes we have made - all this so that you can improve your own writing.

If you've read this far you're probably either a writer or you want to be one. Good. Welcome to our world, The Solar Sanctuary, a haven for all like-minded writer type folks. We both specialise in writing fantasy, and as such a lot of this website is related strongly to fantasy. Many tips for writing one genre also apply to others, so hopefully even if you aren't a regular writer of fantasy you'll find something enjoyable here.

Bio of Ben (a.k.a. BeeZeroOne, Brainiac01):

So, now onto who we are. I, the one typing right now, am Ben (a.k.a. Brainiac01, BeeZeroOne). I write, naturally, and am currently working on my second major novel project. I'm the webmaster of this here site, as well as an artist - I mainly produce art and illustrations for books (currently just my own but that may change). I'm also a gamer, the games I like to play the most are The Legend of Zelda and games like Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, the Mario platformers and Mario Kart, among others. I'll most likely be writing the majority of this site's content.

Bio of Hugh (a.k.a. Namek Man, Wolfos the White):

My name is Hugh. I’m sometimes referred to as Namek Man or Wolfos the White, but you can call me any of those three. I’m also aspiring to be a writer one day, and am working on my own novel entitled “The Trail of Sorrow”. Currently I’m rather busy at college, so my online activity has decreased somewhat but I’m trying as hard as I can to fit everything in. Like Ben, I’m a rather avid gamer, being a fan of the Legend of Zelda series. I also play World of Warcraft (70 mage decked out in epic gear), as well as enjoying the Mario platformers, the Metroid series, the Kingdom Hearts series as well as many many others.

Bio of Claire (a.k.a. The Half-Blood Princess):

I am Claire, friend of Ben’s and fellow fantasy writer and artist (focusing mainly on fantasy animals but my range may grow with time).
Currently I have three works in progress; The Yewoakvian Chronicles, the Spellbourne/Trix trilogy and the Moonlight Rainbow Trilogy (see Books). My other hobbies are reading (a lot), being a Doctor Who fan and also being told by my friends that I am insane (probably because of all of the above)!
